Obituary
Miss Mildred Marie Walker was born on Sunday, May 7, 1916, daughter of the late Doss E. and Mabel Irene Whaley Walker. Miss Walker died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 20 days. She was born in Sulphur Rock, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 57 years and was formerly of Nettleton. She was a retired Clerk and member of the First Pentecostal Church. Miss Walker was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Kennedy; two brothers, Edward and Russell Walker, 2 nieces, Carolyn Walker ritter and Kathy Walker, one nephew, Robert Kennedy, and her parents. Survivors include one sister, Doris Walker of the home; and one brother, C.G. Walker of Trumann. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning April 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Murray Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Robert Blasingame, Harold King, Ernie Nichols, Harold Pankey, Donnie Taylor and Bill Wilson. Visitation will be Tuesday April 29, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home
