Obituary
Mrs. Glenda Pearl Vinson Tippitt was born on Sunday, May 8, 1949, daughter of Lonzie and Beatrice Williams Vinson Winingear. Mrs. Tippitt died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the family residence in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 58 years, 8 months and 21 days. She was born and a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, was a truck driver, an accounting department manager and worked in the food service for many years. She was a graduate of Valley View High School and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Tippitt was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Tippitt, one brother, Jerry Vinson and her father. Survivors include her mother, Beatrice Vinson Winingear of Fulton, Mo.; three sisters, Fran West of Fulton, Mo., Elaine King of Jonesboro and Kathy Calkin of Jonesboro; two brothers, Earl Vinson and Tony Vinson both of Fulton, Mo. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Sister Shelby Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Levi Harris, Andrew Tippitt, Garrett Norris, Jerry King, T.J. Tippitt and Dusty Tippitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry King, Tom West, Stacy Britton, Tim King and Keith Tippitt. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
