Mrs. Geneva C. Farmer of Trumann was born on August 16, 1921, the daughter of the late Daniel L. and Mamie Stacey Whitaker. Mrs. Farmer died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Trumann Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 86 years 3 Months 27 Days. She was born in Baldwyn, Miss., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann . She was a retired employee of the Singer Company and of the Assembly of God faith. Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Farmer in 1983; a daughter, Meletta Gardner Putts; and her parents. Survivors include one son, Gerald Sullivan of Elkhart, Ind.; and six grandchildren, Todd Sullivan, Jason Sullivan, Ricky Harris, Terry Gardner, Gary Gardner and Rodney Gardner, and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark., with Jerry Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Ark.. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Inzer, Delton Hillis, Jerry Whitsett, Brett Chambers, Boyce Whitaker and Felix Whitaker.
