"My beloved Mom-in-law will be greatly missed as she was such an inspirtation to our entire family. She certainly loved playing cards and always wanted a rematch if she lost...which wasn't often. "Leila and I would like to thank everyone who new our Grandmother and shared time with her. Some of my fondest memories were spending summers at their house in Trumann and shooting her BB gun at a tin coffee can. There must have been a thousand holes in that thing. Grandpa & Grandma both gave me my first driving lessons on their riding mower and golf cart. I will always remember those times! It makes me laugh when I think about how she used to get out her fly swatter out and wave it at me whenever I was misbehaving. Her most excellent banana pudding deserts will be missed too! "To my "Mother-in-Law--dear", Rest in Peace.

"Thank you to all who have shared in the loss of my mother. My mother was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, friend and Grandmother. Her last years here in Albuquerque were wonderful for me. Her illness was very short and she simply went to sleep and did not wake up. She had been diagnosed with AML and it took her very quickly. She loved having her own apartment...she could coast down the hill from my home to her place. She loved my Maltese puppy "Nikko" and Nikko would carry on and cry like a baby when we entered the gate to her apartment complex until she saw Mom and she would run and jump on her. Mom loved Nikko and they were great companions for 2 years. We often took Mom to Colorado to our condo and she and Nikko would take long walks and Mom loved having Nikko do all her tricks for the people staying at the resort. Mom made many friends here in Albuquerque with bridge and touring but she never forgot her Trumann friends and missed all of you. You were always in her thoughts. We had planned to take some trips together when I retired in August from being a Principal in the school system here. There is not a day that passes that I do not miss her. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and cards and letters.

"I was so saddened to hear about Lou's death. I talked with her only a week before & this news was such a shock to me. I truly loved Lou! She was such a sweet & caring person to my late father & myself. I will never forget how kind & helpful she was to him.
