Mrs. Vera L. Looney departed this life Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Ridgecrest Health an Rehab in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 19 days. She was born Friday, October 28, 1921 in Childress, AR to the late Walter and Banta Medsker Forbis and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a housewife and of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Looney; one grandson, Derrick Knight; 5 sisters, 3 brothers, and her parents. She is survived by one daughter, Cauline Knight and husband Chuck of Trumann; five sons, Jim Looney and wife Billie Jean of Alexander, AR, Bill Looney of Paducah, KY, Jackie Looney and wife Wanda of Harrisburg, AR, Jearl Looney and wife Martha of Conway, AR and Jon Looney and wife Kathy of Lakewood, CO; two sisters, Rachel Harris and husband Paul of Arlington, TN and Mary Hale of Wynne, AR; one brother Vernon
