Obituary
Mr. Robert “Bud” Blasingame, 88, departed this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Bud was born August 20, 1930 in Trumann to the late James Madison and Gladys Phelps Blasingame. He was a Army veteran of the Korean War, retired from Columbia Forest and a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Opal Blasingame, two sisters, Wanda Glowscz, and Dianna Osment; five brothers, J.M., John Oliver, Vernon, Paul and Calvin Blasingame.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mamie Bea Crocker Blasingame; one son, Gary (Darlene) Blasingame of Grand Rapids, MI; four daughters, Joan (Chuck) Mattson of Grand Rapids, MI, Sheila (Dave) Hale of Traverse City, MI, Jan (Dave) Adomaitis of Grand Rapids, MI, and Barb (Bill) Raymond of Grand Rapids, MI; two brothers, Keith Blasingame of Trumann and David Blasingame of Florida; five sisters, Nancy White of Jonesboro, Patsy Davis of Trumann, Katherine McMullin of Trumann, Marlene Hancock of Trumann and Charlott Baxter of Trumann; 9 grandchildren, Ginger Blasingame, Matthew Blasingame, Johnathan Mattson, Ryan Mattson, Trea Raymond, Taylor Raymond, Cailey Mulder, Brett Rybiski, Shannon Quackenbush and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church, 407 Christy Ave, Trumann, AR 72472.
A Celebration of his life will be Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Murry Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, AR.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Mattson, Jonathan Mattson, Matthew Blasingame, Brett Rybiski, Trea Raymond, and Taylor Raymond.
In lieu of flowers please consider lasting memorials to First United Pentecostal Church, 407 Christy Ave., Trumann, AR 72472.
