Obituary
Mrs. Hazel Beatrice Smith departed this life on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 87 years 9 months and 12 days. She was born and had lived in Trumann for the last 23 years and was formerly of Memphis. She was a child care provider and a member of Melton Avenue Church of Christ. Hazel, (Nanny) loved to cook for her family and friends. This gave her so much enjoyment. She adored her three boys, grandkids and great-grandkids. Christmas was one holiday that brought her so much joy. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.T. Smith; one granddaughter, Kimberly Smith; two sisters, Florence Tolbert and Francis Presley Clayton; four brothers, Elbert Presley, Willie Presley, J.C. Presley, and A.W. Presley and her parents, Jessie and Louvie Mae Bradley Presley.
She is survived by three sons, Paul Smith and wife Patsy of Trumann, Gary Smith and wife Becky of Milton, FL and Phil Smith and wife Debra of Memphis, TN; one sister, Marie Harrison of Cherokee Village, AR; three brothers, Raymond Presley, Harold Presley and Marvin Presley; seven grandchildren, Nicole Kessler, Natasha Irby, Tara Smith, Amy Smith Henley, Erica Larrabee and Nolan Smith; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.,
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Matthew Flad and Nolan Glover officiating. Burial will be in Memphis Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn.
