Mr. Lloyd James Martin of Trumann departed this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 27 days. Mr. Martin was born Saturday, September 17, 1949 in Jonesboro, Ark., and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Mr. Martin was a retired factory worker for Columbia Forrest, a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren General and Martha Lee Crouch Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by one son, Jonathan Martin and wife Misty of Trumann; two daughters, Stephanie Dawn Nelson and husband Allen of Jonesboro, Ark., and Beth Whitaker and husband Austin of Bay, Ark., two sisters, Cathy Everhart and husband Jimmy and Geneva Williams and husband Jimmy both of Trumann; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow in Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Ark. Pallbearers will be Doug Stanley, Donnie Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, Jan Morgan, Lonnie Robertson, and Jim Bo Everhart. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Foshee, James Boyd, Pete Armstrong, Rocky Bratton and Melvin Eudy. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
