Obituary
Sheila Rodgers, 57, of Bay departed this life on Sunday, October 4, 2020 surrounded by loved ones at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN. Born in Michigan, Sheila moved to Bay at age 10. She was a proud and devoted mother to 3 children, Pastor’s wife of 38 years of the Baptist faith, and the best all around Nana to 5 blessed grandchildren. A creative, fun, confidence-building 4th grade teacher, “Mrs. Rodgers” taught at Ridgefield Christian School for nearly 20 years. She was preceded in death by an unborn infant son, and her father, Billy Gene Morgan.
Survivors include husband, Phillip Rodgers of the home; daughter Heather (Cody) Broadway of Walnut Ridge; two sons, Daniel (Brittney) Rodgers of Bay and Matthew (Ashley) Rodgers of Bay; mother, Reba Morgan of Bay; and five grandchildren, Jace, Lexi, Lennox, Anderson, and Mackenzie.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
In lieu of flowers, her wishes included a school supply donation which will be collected at her visitation, or a lasting donation can be made to Ridgefield Christian School, 3824 Casey Springs Road, Jonesboro, AR 72404.
In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face masks will be required along with signing of a COVID-19 form.
