Mr. Melvin Carl Rieves of Trumann departed from this life on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 21  days.  He was born Sunday, November 29, 1931 in De Witt, AR.  Melvin was a US Army veteran of WW II, work in maintanece and a member of Trumann Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Pierce Rieves; and his parents, Harry Martin and Sue Odessa Ayers Rieves.       He is survived by one son, Melvin Dewayne Rieves of Trumann.       All services will be private.       In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions social distancing will be required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form will be required.        An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
