Mrs. Nancy Caroline Criss LaFarlett, 80, of Trumann departed this life on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock, Ark. She was born in and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a bookkeeper for the family business and a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. LaFarlett was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy LaFarlett, one sister, Verna Criss and her parents, Dwight Criss, Sr., and Flossie Pauline Whitlatch Criss. She is survived by two sons, Lee LaFarlett of Trumann, Ark., and Michael LaFarlett and wife Gina of Little Rock, Ark; three grandchildren, Kristin Austin and husband Tim of Trumann, Ark., Michael LaFarlett II and wife Kayla of Sherwood, Ark., and Jody LaFarlett of North Little Rock, Ark; four great-grandchildren, Emilee Bibb, Makenna Austin, Konnor LaFarlett, and Righteous LaFarlett; one sister, Ada Lou Terry of Trumann; and two brothers, Dwight Criss, Jr., of Trumann and Rev. Douglas Criss of Trumann. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. John Maley officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Michael LaFarlett II, Jody LaFarlett, Bryan Walters, Bobby Daniel, Tim Austin and Chase Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will be O.E. Ross and Vernon Terry. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
