Obituary
Miss Eva Geraldine Wells of Harrisburg, Arkansas passed away on December 5th in Jonesboro, Arkansas atthe age of 68 years and 6 months. She was born June 5, 1952 in Harrisburg to the late Myrtle Pickering Wells and the late Marvin Wells. She graduated from NewportHigh School in 1970. After raising two sons, Eva recently retired from administrative type work. She was preceded in death by brothers Earles Wells and Jimmy Wells and sisters Carolyn Whaley and Wilma Donley.
Eva is survived by 2 sons, Andy Shirley of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Steven Shirley of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Buddy Wells of Troy, Missouri; four sisters, Melba June Witt of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Dorthy Wells Gunter of Southaven, Mississippi, Christine Wells Brown of Harrisburg, Arkansas, and honorary sister, Beth Gunter Duncan of Olive Branch, MS. She also leaves many much loved nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Friday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, Arkansas with Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, Arkansas under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form.
