Obituary
Mr. Melbourn Wayne “Bo” Sefers, of Jonesboro died Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 91 years and 21 days. He was born Tuesday, December 10, 1929 in Lake City, Ark., to the late Charlie and Zelma Huggins Sefers and had lived in Jonesboro for 12 years coming from Atlanta, Ga. He was a retired sports auditor, a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion with sports being his main passion. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters and his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Helen Ryan Sefers of the home; six sons, Ronnie Sefers of Memphis, Mike (Yunmi) Sefers of Jonesboro, Bob (Irma) Sefers of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Steve (Melissa) Sefers of Hiram, Georgia, Ray (Jeanette )Sefers of Canton, Georgia, Darrel (Jim) Sefers of Johns Creek, Georgia; two daughters, Donna McKelvey of Cummings, Georgia and Sherry (Bud) Rimert of Marietta, Georgia; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty great -grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Sunday, January 3rd at 2:30 p.m. at Willis Cemetery with Father Alphonse officiating. Burial will follow in Willis Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.
A funeral mass will be scheduled at a later date.
In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be required along with face masks.
