"We just found out about Gerald passing and we are saddened to hear and our prayers are with you. I will never forget when I moved in across the street from y'all when you lived on Reed. Me being a single mom you made me and my son feel safe. So many memories and how Gerald called out precious cat Casper king of reed st. And how on the 4th of July we shot fireworks. How I cried when you moved yet I knew how close y'all were and you wanted to be together living in the meadows. May God give you strength and we love you. Rava, Mica, Miranda and your sweet Kennedy, Isabella and Parks you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Tammy and son Trandon McNatt.

"Rayva, I was so sorry to read about Gerald's passing. In my mind's eye I still envision you and him as you were back in the late 60's. Yet, in the years between then and now you two built a good life together and raised a family. There's no doubt you, the kids and grands will miss Gerald terribly, but what a blessing to have had so many years together! God grant your comfort as you lay him to rest.
