Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Carole Smith-Schlitt, 76, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, at the family residence. She was born Monday, May 22, 1944 to the late Dr. Floyd A. and Oma June Tate Smith. She was born in Memphis, TN, and had lived in Jonesboro since 2005 coming from Los Angeles. She was a retired Travel Agent, studied at Mississippi State College for Women and attended the Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen Katskee and her parents.
She is survived by a brother, Bryan (Lettie) Smith of Harrisburg; step-daughter, Sue (Dan) Potter of Rochelle, Illinois; step-son, Tom Katskee of Monee, Illinois and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
Lasting memorial my be made to ST. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
