Obituary
Stanley Dewayne Sullivan of Trumann departed this life on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the age of 88 years 6 months and 6 days, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born in on Sunday, April 16, 1933 in Center Arkansas to the late Alvin and Ventia Denton Sullivan and had lived his lifetime in Trumann and Harrisburg area. He co-owned and operated Stanley and Perry’s Barber Shop in Trumann and was a Army veteran of the Korean War. He loved to train coon dogs and hunt coons. Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by one sister and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Liles Sullivan of the home; one daughter, Sybil Suzanne (Jim) Emerson of Harrisburg; one son, David Dewayne Sullivan of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Garrett Sullivan and Emily Collins; two sisters, Berlene McAnnally of Trumann and Christine (Eddie) Pyle of Little Rock, Ark., and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside celebration of life with military honors will be Monday, October 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Ark. with Bro. Elvis Brandon officiating under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
