"Watson, you were a gentleman and a scholar. I count you as one of my very best and closest friends. You and Syble were a lovely couple and working with you at Delta in Marked Tree made my work easier. I will always remember you as an outstanding acquaintance and friend. Sincerely, Lydia W. Beck

"On behalf of my late husband, Donald F Sloas, please allow my daughters and I to express how much Donald greatly appreciated being mentored as a student and as an Instructor of the Appliance Service Dept at the former Delta Vocational Technical School, Marked Tree, by Mr. Robert Watson, a well respected Appliance Service Technician in the Trumann area before becoming a part of the original staff of DVTS as Appliance Service Instructor, later Industrial Maintenance Instructor and Solar PowerTechnology Instructor. We sincerely thank Mr Watson for his military service for their great country the U.S.A., for the positive impact he had on many young and some older men in these instructional programs whose personal lives, their families and communities benefited from their training from Mr Watson and for the achievements, success and respect he earned for his curriculum development in all of these areas he taught which have been recognized by his students, DVTS, well known organizations, the Arkansas State Dept of Education and across the United States where he spoke at conventions as well as our family hold Mr Watson and his beautiful wife, Sybil, with highest regard. Praying for peace, comfort and strength for Lanita and Lee and their whole family.
