Mr. Robert Dale “Bob” Slinkard,  of Trumann departed this life on Friday, May 6, 2022 at VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN at the age of 81 years, and 14 days.  He was born Tuesday, April 22, 1941 in  and a lifetime resident of Trumann.  Bob was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, a lifetime farmer and of the Methodist faith.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jeanette Slinkard, one son, Shannon Keith Slinkard; two sisters, 1 brother and his parents, Hiram S and Esther Irene Metcalf Slinkard.       He is survived by one son, Damon (Tammie) Slinkard of Trumann; two grandchildren, Autumn Slinkard and Nelson Slinkard; two great-grandchildren, Sicily and Stella Mars; one brother, Howard (Karen) Slinkard of Rogers, AR; three sisters, Jerrie Sue (Dewayne) Qualls of Rockford, IL, Judy Dunman of Lake City, and Nancy (Donnie) England of Trumann.       The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon, May 9, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, with Alan McClung officiating.
