Mrs. Charlene Hackworth departed this life on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN., at the age of 90 years 11 months and 22 days.  She was born on Saturday, May 16, 1931 in Trumann to the late Delbert Chatman and Maggie Nola Holt Dame and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann.  She was a retired secretary for Singer Company and of the Pentecostal faith.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hackworth; one brother, Albert Dame; five sisters, Ola Virginia Dame, Shelby Jean Dame, Ruth Fain, Pearl Prichard, and Lavada Burns; and her parents.       She is survived by four nephews, Mitchell Grant of Trumann, Harold Gast of Benton Harbor, MI, John Prichard of Harrisburg; and Brian Gast of Benton Harbor, MI.; five nieces, Paulette Lohuis of South Carolina, Wendy Ostrom of Benton Harbor, MI, Misty Morris of Benton Harbor, MI, Billie Parris of Bay, AR, and Alice Main of Benton Harbor, MI; special cousin, Joyce Alderson; and special neighbors, Glenda Anderson, Rick & Glenda Gillette and Dean Norris.       The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dub Holt officiating.  Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.       Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hall, Lynn Morris, Alfred Haines and Ernie Nichols.       In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional.       Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
