Obituary

Mr. Carl L. Pruitt departed this life on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the family residence, at the age of 73 years and 20 days. He was born June 21,1949 in Alabama to the late Grover and Gladys Posey Pruitt.  Carl was a retired mechanic and a member of Providence Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Cleta Anschultz; one brother, Jimmy Pruitt; his parents.       He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan Pruitt of the home; two sons, Kenny Pruitt and Ricky (Misty) Pruitt both of Trumann; one daughter, Carla (Chris) Haynie of Trumann; two sisters, Cornelia Walker of Weiner and Brenda Hellums of Montgomery, AL; four brothers, Jackie Pruitt of Huntsville, AL, Leon Pruitt of Rockford, IL, Junior Pruitt of Searcy, and Gary Pruitt of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Josh Breytspraak, Jake & Hillary Breytspraak, Tyler & Maddi Burgess, Kendall Pruitt, and Sierra Pruitt; and three great-grandchildren, Sylas Breytspraak, NovaLee Pruitt and Keesen Nelson.       Graveside service will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with  Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.          In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is optional.       Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
