Emma Jean Moore of Trumann departed this life on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Flo and Phil Hospice in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 22 days. She was born Thursday, December 31, 1936 in Trumann. She lived the past 17 years in Trumann after moving from Black Oak, AR.. She was a member of the 1st Assembly of God in Trumann. She loved to crochet, cook, sew, quilt and serve at the food bank. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray Moore, her parents Floyd and Ruby Costner Fortson, and two brothers, Charles and Edward Fortson. She is survived by three sons, Bill (Laurie) Moore of Ft. Smith, AR, James (Shirley) Moore, Danny (Toni) Moore both of Jonesboro, AR; two daughters, Dorothy (Frank) Davidson and Kathy (Mike) Ashford both of Jonesboro, AR; one Brother Eschol Fortson of Walnut Ridge, AR and one Sister, Louise Hinshaw of Jonesboro, AR.; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25 at 2:00 P.M. at the 1st Assembly of God in Trumann, AR and service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with  Rev. Kenneth Doke and Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg, AR.  Grandsons Jason and Jeremy Davidson,; Andrew, Brody, Ray, Gus, and Justifer Moore; Bruno Jr., and Tanner O’Guinn; and Drew Brown will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Trumann Food Bank. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, face masks or other facial covering and social distancing will be recommended.
