Obituary

Billy Floyd Spence of Jonesboro, AR departed this life Tuesday, November 15th at the family residence in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 7 days. He was born Wednesday, January 8, 1947 in Trumann, AR and  lived most of his lifetime in Jonesboro.  He was a 1968 graduate of Trumann High School.  Billy was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam war, an avid musician, fisherman, physical fitness guy and later in years an animal lover.  Billy was retired from Frolic Footwear with over two decades of service, but music was his main gig.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Spence and Junior Spence; one sister, Mary Eggers; one grandson, Billy Trent Spence; and his parents, Bertig and Mamie Stevens Spence.       He is survived by two daughters, Leah Spence of Jonesboro, Brandi (Brett) Sharp of Mountain Home, AR; four sisters, Joanne Mullins, Alice McPherson, Clytee Willis, and Mavis Campbell all of Trumann; and four grandchildren, Tyler Woods, Spencer Sharp, Jakob Sharp, and Aspen Sharp.       A Celebration of Life will be Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, AR with Scotty Spence officiating.
