Harold Dewayne “Wayne” Waters of Trumann departed this life on Wednesday the 25th at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House of Jonesboro, AR at the age of 79 years, 9 months, and 27 days. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Trumann, AR. He served in the Army Reserve and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to duck hunt. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Billie Maloney and Shirley Waters and was the son of the late Ray and Ruby Earline Robbins Waters.       He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lawanda Waters of the home; one daughter, Stacey (Lyle) Kennedy of Jonesboro, and one granddaughter, Madison Kennedy of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.       Family will receive friends Saturday, January 28th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A Celebration of life will follow at 1:30 in the Chapel with Rev. Dal Hogan officiating. Active Pallbearers are: Earl Holley, Harold Davis, Allen Milligan, Jan Dungan, Barry Hazelwood, Lee Davis; Honorary are: Tony Parnell, Matt Parnell, Scott Taylor, Michael Maloney, Jarrod Childers, and Myles Milligan.  Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.       In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering and social distancing will be optional.
