Yutha Fern Hanes of Trumann, AR, departed this life Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the family residence at the age of 99 years, 8 months, and 17 days. She was born Wednesday, June 20, 1923 in Trumann to the late Jessie James and Georgia Eva Best Garrett. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James Herbert Hanes; five brothers, Harvey, Wilber, Virgil, Leon, and Earl Garrett; and three sisters, Wanda Haner, Dorthy Freeman and Myrtle Garrett. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Barbara (Bill) Collett of Trumann;  one brother, James Garrett of Jonesboro, AR; seven grandchildren, Scotty Mathews, Kathy Brown, Carlin Maddix, Timothy, Marvin, Charlotte, and Jimmy Collett; 12 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, March 13, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.  at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 801 Smith Ave. in Trumann. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 with the Rev. Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Kain, John  Forbis, Gary Don Holmes, Stan Roberts, Michael Reeves, and Jerry Banks.
