Carl Newton Long, Jr., of Hot Springs departed this life Friday, March 10, 2023 Hot Springs at the age of 60 years,11 months and 7 days. He was born Tuesday, April 3, 1962 to the late Carl Newton Long Sr., and Hazel Secrease Willey in Trumann and was formerly of Jonesboro and Hot Springs.  Carl was a heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl N. Long, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Hazel Secrease Willey of Batesville; one son, Carl Ryan Long of Harrisburg; one brother, William Jeffrey Long, Sr., of Batesville, AR; two sisters, Regina (Bob) Tucker of Thayer, MO; Kimberly (Joe) Jordan of Paragould; one grandchild, Maddox Ryan Long and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 15th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.  Burial will be  private.   An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
