Mona Faye O’Shields of Marked Tree, AR, departed this life Friday, March 24, 2023 at St. Benards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 89 years, 2 Months and 6 Days. She was born Thursday, January 18, 1934 in Big Lake, (Mississippi Co.) Ark., and had lived in Marked Tree for the past 30 years. Mrs. O’Shields was a homemaker and a member of the Corners Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby O’Shields; one sister, Lula Bell Carroll; six brothers, Harvey, Donald Wayne, Norman Douglas, Corgen Everett “C.E.”, Michael and Waymon Rudolph Williams and was the daughter of the Louis Waymon and Cora Lee Rowe Williams. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her heavenly father Jesus Christ and always put family first.       She is survived by two daughters, Connie Camp of Kingston, GA, and Susie Gaddis of Marked Tree, AR; one son, Joe O’Shields of Jasper, GA; three sisters, Lucille Williams and Barbara Russell both of Marked Tree and Tedola Hammock of Poplar Bluff, MO.; two brother, Roger Dale Williams of Marked Tree and Dennis Williams of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren  and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 2:00  -  3:00 p.m. at  Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, AR.  Celebration of life will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Glenn Hurst officiating.will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree., Ark. Pallbearers will be Adam O’Shields, Barry Jones, Andrew Herren, Justin Carroll, Steven Carroll, Kenney Lewis and Adam Lewis.
