Obituary
Mr. Marvin Lloyd McCain of Trumann, departed this life Thursday, July 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth’s Place in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 94 years, 9 months, and 24 days. He was born September 28, 1928 in Malden, MO to the late Charles William McCain and Vinnie Louise Walker McCain. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. Formerly of Paragould, AR, he had lived the last 26 years in Trumann. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a cattle farmer and enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Charles McCain and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Louise Clayton McCain of the home and a wealth of dear friends and family.
The family will received friends Monday, July 24th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of life will follow at 1:30 with Revs. John Maley and Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Bennett, Bob McCaa, Galen Smith, Bill Gibbs, Roger Jones and Harold Mitchusson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Ginger, Mac McCaa and Tony Tsei.
Lasting memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
