Obituary
Mr. Jerry Edward Lillard departed this life Friday, September 29 2023 at the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. AR at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 3 days. He was born Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1944 in Weona and lived in Trumann 35 years coming from Missouri. Jerry was self employed mechanic and truck driver and was a member of Christian Worship Center. Jerry was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington and Beula Ellen Neal Lillard; three sons, Jeffrey Paul Lillard, Jerry David Lillard and Herchel Lee Lillard; and three brothers, George Harold Lillard, Paul Douglas Lillard and William Thomas Lillard; and one sister, Hazel Lovina Mink.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Louvenia Lillard of the home; five sons, George Edward “Eddie” Lillard of Arizona, Steve Lillard of Michigan, Christopher Lillard of Sebring Fl., and Joseph Lillard of Florida, Jerry Edward Puckett of Nebraska; two step-sons, Lester and Daniel Herod both of Trumann; three daughters, Laura Humphrey of Yuma, AZ., Sherry Lillard of Indiana, Becky Sowells of Trumann; step-daughter, Velina Gabbert of Trumann; two sisters, Margaret Carter of Memphis, TN., and Linda Coward of W. Memphis, AR; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 pm at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday with Rev. Tommy Jordan and Bro. David Busby officiating. Burial will be in Potters Cemetery in Lepanto under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be son Christopher Lillard, and grandsons, Ryan Herod, Dalton Herod, David Gross, Darec Jensen and Johnathan Lillard.
Honorary pallbearer will be Rodney Eich.
