Obituary
Margaret Ann Deiss of Trumann, departed this life Sunday, October 8, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 29 days. She was born in Jonesboro and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. Margaret was a retired teacher aide from Trumann Public School and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E “Bud” Deiss; one daughter, Susan Hale Jones and her parents, James K Sr. and Billie Louise Pardew Parks.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Beth) Hale of Russellville, AR and Kelly T (Rohani) Hale of Flower Mound, TX; one brother, James K (Brenda) Parks Jr., three grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1301 Hwy 69 W, Trumann, AR. A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. John Maley officiating. Burial will be Friday, October 13th in Schaffhauser Cemetery in Marvell, AR, with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge.
