Obituary

Gary Joe McIllwain Jr, of Trumann, AR departed this life Wednesday, February 14th in Leachville, AR., at the age of  43 years 11 Months and 7 Days.  He was born in March 7, 1980 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Gary McIllwain, Sr and Carol Carter Richards. He was a lifetime resident of Trumann, a 1999 graduate of Trumann High School, self employed painter and of the Pentecostal faith. He loved to fish, play the guitar and was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James “Jim” and Kitty McIllwain; maternal grandparents, Delbert and Marie Carter; paternal great-grandparents, Lawerence “Ted” and Margaret McIllwain; maternal great-grandparents, Marvin and Edith Carter, Virgil and Bonnie Henson.         He is survived by his father, Gary Joe (Lisa) McIllwain, Sr of Owens Cross Roads, AL; mother, Carol (David) Richards of Trumann; fiance Kelley Moyer of Lake City, AR; one son, Gary “Trey” Joe McIllwain of Thayer, MO; two daughters, Madison McIllwain of the home, Olivia McIllwain of Trumann; one brother, Kevin Montgomery of California; two sisters, Angela Young of Trumann and Brittany McIllwain of Owens Cross Roads, AL.      The family will receive friends Monday, February 19th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at First United Pentecostal Church at Temple and Christy Street in Trumann, AR. A celebration of life will follow with the Rev. Chad Batson and Rev. Gary Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia, AR.       Active Pallbearers will be Kevin Bishop, Terry Matney, Aaron Richardson, Scott Crites, Todd Worley, and Robbie Smith.      An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
