Obituary
Andralyn “Angie” Morgan Grant of West Memphis departed this life Friday, April 26, 2024 at The Blossoms At White River Nursing Center in Newport, Ark., at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 28 days. She was born Wednesday, September 29, 1948 in Jonesboro, Ark., to the late J. P. and Marjorie Gammill Morgan. She lived most of her lifetime in West Memphis, 1966 graduate of Trumann High School and was of the Baptist faith. Angie worked as a Sales Representative for trucking companies in Memphis until she retired. She was very active on the BBQ Competition circuit, winning several awards and trophies. She used this platform to spread information on organ donation, which was dear to her heart and was a dog lover. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Dewayne Grant II and her parents.
She is survived by her special friend and caregiver, Susan Robinson of Bay; one brother, Dennis Morgan and wife Paula of Trumann. Two nephews, Jan Morgan and Jay Taylor Morgan, Sr.; three great nieces and two great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Dr. John Maley officiating. Private burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion, Ark.
Honor to serve as pallbearers will be Jan Morgan, Jay Taylor Morgan, Sr., Jordan Morgan, Jay Taylor Morgan, Jr., Ben Turner, Alex Talavera and Scott Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be the THS Class of 1966.
Lasting memorial can be made to the Humane Society or Organ Donation.
