Tere Smith Ragsdale of Trumann departed this life Thursday, June 6, 2024  at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 89 years 5 months and 4 days. She was born in Bay, AR to the late Theodore and Mary Holt Smith and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann.  Tere was retired from the Trumann Public School System for over 40 years as an library aide and tutor and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where her church was the main part of her life. She was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Smith and her parents.    She is survived by two sons, Barry (Dawn) Ragsdale of Jonesboro and Alan (Joni) Ragsdale of Kingsport, TN; one daughter, Linda Smith of Trumann. Three grandchildren, Jeremy (Sarah) Ragsdale, Corey (Kristy) Ragsdale and Cameron Ragsdale and five great-grandchildren.       The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. In Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. John Maley officiating.  Burial will be private at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge.       Pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church.
