Obituary
Mrs. Lema Irene Jones of Trumann passed away August 1, 2025 at Woodbriar Nursing Center in Harrisburg, AR at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 29 days. Lema Irene was born Sunday, May 3, 1942 in Bassett in Mississippi county to Ira O. Ingram, Sr. and Viola Simpson Ingram. She was the 7th child of 13 born to this reunion and lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area. She was a retired factory and food service worker and was a member of Brookland Assembly of God Church since 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 1/2 years, Junior Jones, parents and brothers, Junior, Hershel, Edward, Boyd, J. D., Terry and Arlon Ingram; nephew, Jeffery Ingram, and great granddaughter, Braelynn Walker.
She is survived by one daughter, Debbie (Danny “Bub”) Smith of Trumann and two sons, Rick (Sherry) Jones of Ravenden Springs and Shorty (Lisa) Jones of Jonesboro; one sister, Dianne Book of Trumann and three brothers, Doyle Ingram of Spring, Texas., Larry (Ruth) Ingram of Jonesboro and Jerry Ingram of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Erika (Jason) Treat of Jonesboro, Justin Jones of Harrisburg, Danielle (Dr. Andrew) Walters of Jonesboro, Jessica (Austin) Ingram of Highland, Joshua (Myca) Baker of Trumann and Julia (Dennis) Nelson of Trumann. Great Grandchildren, Jace, Jaxon, Everly Jones, Kayden, Kenzley, Braxten, Chance, Zailye, McKenzie Baker, Hudson Walters and Ledger Nelson
Family will receive friends Monday from 12:30-1:30 pm at Thompson Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be Monday, August 4, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. James Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Carter, Justin Jones, Jason Treat, Dr. Andrew Walters, Josh Baker and Russell Qualls.
