Obituary
Mrs. Charity Ovella Wood Secrease of Trumann, Ark, departed this life Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 9 days. She was born Tuesday, February 20, 1923 in Tishomingo, Miss., to the late George A. and Mary Thorn Wood, and had live most of her life time in Trumann. Mrs. Secrease was a sales clerk for Trumann Hardware for many years and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Secrease, Sr., three sisters, three brothers and her parents. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Green and husband Jack of Norman, Okla., one son, Henry and wife Shirley Secrease of Trumann; one brother, Delbert Wood of Jonesville, La.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.. Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Derick Smithson, Chris Secrease, Garen Smithson, Taylor Robinson, and Cameron Robinson. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, H.H. Moye Lane, Trumann, AR 72472. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
