Mrs. Marion “Macil” Fortson, 89 of Trumann passed away November 28, 2025 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 27 days.   She was born Thursday, October 1, 1936 in  Manila, AR  and was the daughter of the late Louis and Ella Morgan Bishop.  She lived her lifetime in Trumann where she worked at Singer Co. for 18 years and then in the cafeteria at Trumann High School and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, painting and coloring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Fortson; one daughter, Ann Karnes; son-in-law, Terry Halfacre; four sisters, Mildred, Becky, Sally and Melba; four brothers, James Wright, Butch Wright, Gene Wright and Ronnie Bishop.      She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis (Kenny Guy) McMahan, Faye Halfacre and Pam (George) Duboise all of Trumann; of Trumann; one sister, Wayvon Stroud of Okean, AR; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.         Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Maple Grove Baptist Church in Trumann. A Celebration of life will be Wednesday at 1:30 with Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan and Rev. James Moore officiating.   Burial will follow in Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.      Grandsons serving as pallbearers will be Jim Edd Karnes, Wade McMahan, Travis Halfacre, Joseph Halfacre, Preston Duboise and Justin McGowan.  Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.      Lasting memorials can be made to Bolivar Cemetery, P.O.
