Obituary
Mrs. Connie Sue Jones of Trumann, Ark., departed this life Thursday, December 1, 2016 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 14 days. She was born Saturday, May 17, 1952 in Lepanto, Ark., and had lived in Trumann since 1994 and was formerly of Marked Tree, Ark. She was a retired nurse and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by one great grandson, Zane May, two brothers, Billy Jo Smith and Jackie Smith and her parents, A.C. and Opal Irene Birdno Smith. She is survived by three daughters, Kellye Gregg, Sherri (Don) Reynolds and Jamie Jones all of Trumann; two sons, Jerry Carter of Memphis and Jeremy Jones of Jonesboro; two sisters, Linda Powell of Jonesboro and Renee Smith of Paragould; three brothers, Jimmy Smith of Marked Tree, Paul Smith of Lepanto and Ronnie Smith of Gulf Shores, Ala.; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Anthony Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Potters Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Ark.Pallbearers will be Dalton Carter, Trevor Long, Mario Sifuentes, Jerry Allred, Grayson Dye, and Kaleb May. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
