Obituary

Mrs. Betty Jane Richardson of Trumann departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age 81 years, 7 months, 20 days. Mrs. Richardson was born Thursday, February 21, 1935 in Caraway, Ark., and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retired supervisor with Salant & Salant and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, 4 brothers and her parents, Aubrey and Willie Mae Lambert Shriner. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James W. Richardson of the home; one daughter, Patricia Sysak of Memphis, TN; one son, David Richardson of Trumann; one sister, Nanna Faye Clark of Cape Girardeau, MO; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Loggins and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Graveside service will be Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Ark., under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
