Obituary

Mrs. Susan Dell Adams King, died Friday, January 29, 2016 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, AR., at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 29 days. She was born Tuesday, May 5, 1953 in Jonesboro, AR., to the late Ernest Marlin and Charlene Morgan Adams and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was an RN for over 30 years and a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry W. King of the home; two daughters, Kelly Thompson of Hot Springs, AR; and Melissa King Waldroop and husband Travis of Franklin, NC, one son, Eric Wayne King and wife Jakaland of Paragould; one brother, David Morgan Adams and wife Linda of Trumann. 7 grandchildren, Shelby Eaton, Jordan Waldroop, Erica Waldroop, Scout Mincy, Ben Waldroop, Maddox King, and Chandler King and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro. Pallbearers will be John Adams, Jan Morgan, Taylor Morgan, Jason Durham, Steven Etter and Bryan Mooneyham. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

"Jerry and kids, I was so sorrry to hear of Susan's passing. I loved that woman so much. We worked together at the old hospital. She was not only our boss but a fantastic friend. I actually was just looking at pictures of a Chrismas party and the fun we had but fun at work as well. She loved being a nurse and so good at it but she loved being a Mom more. She adored her family and that was obvious everyday. She will be missed so much by all that knew her. May God bless you at this difficult time and give you peace and comfort.
