Obituary

Mr. Clay David Buckner of Trumann died Monday, January 18, 2016 at the family residence at the age of 50 years, 10 months and 11 days. Mr. Buckner was born Sunday, March 7, 1965 in Michigan City, Ind., and lived the last 25 years in Trumann and was formerly of Marked Tree. He was a former employee of Hytrol Conveyor and was of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard David and Betty Joyce Bratton Buckner. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carla June Pitts Buckner of the home; three sons, Iran Buckner of Lepanto, Zachery Thomas Buckner and Coty Gayle Buckner both of Trumann; and three sisters; Vickie Cash of Trumann, Mary Newman of Heber Springs, Ark., and Joyce Brown of Marked Tree, Ark. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial will follow in Potters Cemetery in Lepanto, Ark.Honorary pallbearer will be Clay Bratton, Jr., and pallbearers will be Ricky Morlock, Hershel Wilson, David Brigman, Nicholas Bratton, Michael Bratton and Danny Harper. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfunealhome.net.
