Obituary
Mrs. Euza Almeda Meeker of Jonesboro died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 7 days. Mrs. Meeker was born Thursday, October 29, 1925 in Decatur, Ala., and lived most of her lifetime in Jonesboro, Ark. She was a former employee of Nettleton School and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Meeker; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Meeker, son-in-law Garland Willhelm; two sisters; three brothers, and her parents, John Logan and Stella Aileen Brock Thomas. She is survived by four daughters, Phyllis M. Kowalke, Louise Willhelm, and Carolyn Meeker all of Indianapolis, Ind., and Ruth Paulette (John) Petro of Doswell, VA.; three sons, Ronald (Peggy) Meeker of Jonesboro, Ark., John Gary (Debbie) Meeker of Fulshear, Tex., and Kenneth Meeker of Jonesboro, Ark; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. John Maley officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Jeff Meeker, Carol Dellinger, Greg Kowalke, Stephen Meeker, Travis Glasco, Justin Klingensmith, and Austin Glasco. Honorary pallbearers will be Lisa Glasco, Denise Klingensmith, Karen Smith, Scott Kowalke, Emily Meeker, Andrea Tinsley and Samantha Baker. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
