Obituary
Mrs. Maxine Barker Fry of Trumann died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Tumbling Shoals, Ark., at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 30 days. She was born Monday, July 30, 1923 in Harrisburg, Ark., and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. Mrs. Fry was a retired employee of Singer Company and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and her parents; Ruben and Lillian Barker. She is survived by her daughter; Betty (Jim) Lee Prince of Tumbling Shoals, Ark., one sister; Mary Kathryn Mills of Newport, Ark., 3 grandchildren, Lisa Bryant, Lori Burrus, Robbie Prince and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in Bolivar Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Pallbearers will be David Burrus, Michael Burrus, Donald Roberts, Junior Drennin, Dale Teague and Lawson Bryant. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

"Maxine Fry was such a sweet lady who used to go on the Casino bus.She had a number of close friendson the bus. We always lookedforward to stopping in Trumann and picking her up as well as other people from Trumann. Mycondolences go out to her family.God bless you and may she rest inpeace.
