Obituary
TRUMANN - Mrs. JoAnn Conatser, was born on Wednesday September 2, 1936 in Strawberry, AR. to the late Dene and Ruth (Mullen) West. She died Thursday morning at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age 75 years 5 months. Mrs. Conatser was a loving wife and dedicated mother, school teacher for the Bay, Scranton and Hazen school districts and a home health worker. Mrs. Conatser had spent most of her life in Trumann where she was on the Board of Directors for the Lions Club, Eastern Star, and a member of the First Baptist Church where she was active in the Awana and Wings Programs, she also enjoyed gardening and helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary West; husband James Russell Conatser; son John Randall Conatser She is survived by two sons Steve Allen Conatser of Trumann, Brian Keith Conatser of Russellville, three daughters, Cynthia Gail Barber (Kirk) of Radcliff, KY., DeAnna Marie Harrison (Jason) of Spain, Jamie Ruth Neal (Derek) of Topeka, KS.; brothers Danny West (Debbie) of Okmulgee, OK., David West of Tulsa OK, two sisters Helen Lackey (Lloyd) of Batesville, Patty Huskey of Saffell, sister-in-law Linda West of Strawberry, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Trumann, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Milligan Campground Cemetery in Strawberry, AR. Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the First Baptist Church and Lions Club of Trumann. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the First Baptist Church. An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.

"I've known your mom all my life. We had a long bus ride to school She would let me sit by her and made a long ride better for a little girl. She was a good artist and I still have a couple of those in my "stuff" - many years later. Most of all she was a very sweet person and will be missed by all who knew her.
