Bro. Barnes was a good man also a wonderful preacher, he was very good with the WORD OF GOD. IVE GOT TO TELL THIS STORY AND ITS A VERY TRUE STORY, ONE NIGHT BRO BARNES WAS PREACHING AT SIS. SHELBY'S CHURCH CANT REMEMBER IF IT WAS THE OLD CHURCH OR NEW ONE ANYWAYS HE SAID FOR US TO COME FORWARD IF WE WONTED PRAYER AND I DID, AND I REACHED OUT AND TOOK HIS HAND AND THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THIS HAS EVER HAPPEND I TOOK HIS HAND AND I FELT LIKE I HAD STUCK MY HAND TO A LIVE WIRE FIRE CAME THROUH HIS HAND, AND I WAS UPLIFTED AND BLESSED HE WILL BE MISSED BY LOTS OF PEOPLE. Not only a Grandpa he was blessing to me, Kevin, and Chad. He always gave us a answer when we needed it, and if he didn't have one he assured us the God did. He will be truly missed in this lifetime, but I know there will be another day when we all will see him in the kingdom of heaven.

Darlene, Billy, and family,I am so sorry about your dad, grandpa, and great-granddad.He was a special person. Not just in his ministry as he was but also as a friend and the life he lived before others. As Bro. Cole ministered, a man of faith, with action. Not just works, nor not just faith. BUT BOTH. He did love God and his family. Talked of them all the time on phone or in person.Thank you for letting me be a part of your lifes and his. I am so glad the last couple of years have been such a blessing to me. His wisdom and help in putting up the tent and just advise in all showed his constant contact with God.You are special to me, I claim you as my own. I love you and you are in my prayers.Sis. He was my grandfather, and I can tell you he is the greatest man I have ever known. I know he said many prayers for me and my family, and I will miss him dearly. My comfort is that I know he is in heaven and walking streets of gold with my grandma!!
