Dwight F. Neal

Mr. Dwight F. Neal was born in Trumann on Thursday, December 14, 1944, the son of Harlan and Matilda McCoy Neal. Mr. Neal died Friday, March 13, 2009 at the age of 64 years 2 months and 27 days. Mr. Neal was a Sr. sales representative for the Elk River Mach. Co. of Elk River, MN, a Staff Sergeant in the US Army National Guard and a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church of Trumann. Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his mother, Matilda McCoy Neal, grandparents, Tilmon and Myrtle McCoy and Alan and Pearl Neal. Survivors include his wife, Virlene Neal of the home; one son, Scott Neal of Jonesboro; father and step-mother, Harlan and Alice Neal of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Jerry Neal of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Bryan and Jacob Neal. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Maple Grove Baptist of Trumann with Dr. Jim Shaw and Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery of Jonesboro. Arrangements under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Pallberars will include Scott Neal, Bryan Neal, Jacob Neal, Johnny Whitlatch, Danny Pippinger and Marvin Massey. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob White and the Maple Grove Baptist Church Adult Men II Small Group. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
