Jerry Edward Brooks

Jerry Edward Brooks, 47, of Trumann passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark. Mr. Brooks was born in Tyronza and was a lifetime resident of Trumann and member of the Faith Baptist Church in Tulot. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Adams Brooks, one brother, Johnny Carl Brooks, two sisters, Deborah Gail Brooks and Baby Darlene Brooks Survivors include his father, Jerry Lee Brooks of Trumann; three brothers, Charlie, Buddy, and Jackie Brooks all of Trumann; six sisters, Margaret Hudgens of Searcy, Louise Shotts, Brenda Head and Roberta Witt, all of Trumann, Barbara Drum of Harrisburg, and Neicy Whitlock of Jonesboro. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark. Pallbearers will be Richard Bell, Junior Jackson, Scotty Hudgens, Gary Whitlock, Roger Drum, and Gary Williams,. Honorary pallbearer will be Wayne Williams and Scotty Hudgens, Jr. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
