Vivian T. Roberts

Mrs. Vivian T. Roberts of Kansas City, Mo., was born on Saturday, August 12, 1916, daughter of the late Herbert and Arbelle Johnston Turner. Mrs. Roberts died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Menorah Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, at the age of 92 years 3 months 11 days. She was born in Brookland, Ark., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann before moving to Kansas City 15 months ago. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Roberts in 2002, 3 brothers, and her parents. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Williams of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Herbert Turner Jr., of Pensacola, Fla., and Gifford Turner of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Tina Carter and Sara Robar, 4 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark., with Rev. Charles Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Alan Kline, Brent Jacobs, Scott Taylor, Perry Young and Clyde Williams.
