Robert Edward "Douger" KendallFebruary 14, 1927 - February 21, 2008 Mr. Robert Edward (Douger) Kendall was born on Monday, February 14, 1927, son of the late Elsworth and Ruby D. Armstrong Kendall. Mr. Kendall died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Woodbriar Nursing Center in Harrisburg, Ark., at the age of 81 years, 0 months and 7 days. He was born in Murfreesboro, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 46 years and was formerly of Marked Tree. He was a retired factory worker and member of the Melton Ave. Church of Christ. Mr. Kendall was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and his parents. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lavern Qualls Kendall of the home; three daughters, Connie Latham of Bono, Johnnie Mitchusson and Deena Collins both of Trumann; one son, Bobby Kendall of Jonesboro; two sisters, Mary Sposito of Midlothian, Texas and Betty Sharrott of Penn.; one brother, Milton Kendall of Malakoff, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark., with Nolan Glover and Ronnie Benson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Bobby Kendall, Brock Kendall, Ronnie Norman, David Collins, Colt Collins, Butch Mitchusson and Billy Willard. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Shields, Mike Williamson, Glenn Presley, Jim Collins, Jonathan Shields and the men from Melton Ave. Church of Christ. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Memorials may be made to the Melton Ave. Church of Christ, Melton Ave., Trumann, Ark.
