Firest Stanford ParrishAugust 6, 1915 - January 28, 2008 Mr. Firest Stanford Parrish, was born on Friday, August 6, 1915, son of the late Willie Stanford and Mary Elizabeth Sims Parrish. Mr. Parrish died Monday, January 28, 2008 at the family residence in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 22 days. Born in Damascus, Ark., he had lived in Jonesboro for the past 5 months and was formerly of Trumann. He was a retired factory worker and of the Assembly of God faith. Mr. Parrish was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha I. Parrish in 2006, one daughter, Marcella Despard, three sons, David Charles, Eugene and Bobby Parrish; four brothers and his parents. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Kennedy of Jonesboro, Angela Hervey of Springdale, and Rhonda Davis of Russellville; two sons, Bill Parrish and James Parrish both of Mountain Home; two sisters, Evelyn Akes of Marmaduke and Clara Hall of Jonesboro; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Macey Cemetery near Monette, Ark. Pallbearers will be Dustin Davis, Daniel Davis, Charles Parrish, Dale Cooper, Billy Joe Taylor and Ted Huffins.
