Mrs. Juanita Laverne “Wanda” Haner of Trumann, Ark., departed this life Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the family residence at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 26 days. She was born Monday, September 15, 1941 in Cash, Ark., and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a housewife that loved to cook and was a member of Southside Apostolic Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Garrett and Dorothy Freeman; three brothers, Earl Garrett, Virgil Garrett and Harvey Garrett and her parents, Jesse and Evy Best Garrett.
She is survived by her husband, of 58 years Jerry Haner of the home; one sister, Yutha Hanes; three brothers, James Garrett, Wilburn Garrett and wife Dorothy and Leon Garrett and wife Faye and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Bro. George Ezell officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Michael Freeman, Roy Pretty, Johnny Garrett, John Garrett Sr., John Garrett Jr., and Josh Garrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Pulley and Jason Garrett.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark.
