Christy Oceal Mitchusson

June 28, 1918 - April 8, 2007

Mrs. Christy Oceal Mitchusson was born on Friday, June 28, 1918, daughter of the late Tom and Betty Sartin Vanatter. Mrs. Mitchusson died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the family residence in Trumann, Ark., at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 11 days. She was born in Guyn, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 27 years and was formerly of Rochelle, Ill. She was a retired machine operator for Caron International and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Mitchusson was preceded in death by her husband, Jess R. Mitchusson in 1979, one grandchild, Otta Jane Mitchusson, three brothers, three sisters and her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Litch of Trumann and Christine Dean of Eustace, Tex.; two sons, Harold Mitchusson and Jessie Mitchusson both of Harrisburg; one sisters, Hazel Madden of Trumann; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Rick Kimery officiating. Burial will follow in the Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Ark. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Loven, Josh Loven, Jerry Hardin, Rance Dean, Steve Mitchusson and Butch Mitchusson.
